mScreen

The controller for all types of screen, it has two control programmes:
Thermal/shade programme: controls the screen primarily by light, opening and closing it at either end of the day.
Blackout programme: The screen opens and closes at each end of the day according to time, providing a fixed day length for the crop.
When the screen is opened in the morning, it will initially open to provide a 'gap', so that the air above and below the screen can mix before opening the screen totally, eliminating the thermal shock to the plants. With both programmer the screen can also be used to provide automatic shading when the light level exceeds a shading threshold. The shading percentage is programmable, allowing air movement to be maintained while the screen is shading.

Temperature Option
(requires temperature sensor)

Additional setpoints allow the screen to be left open at night if the glasshouse temperature is high. It also allows the screen to be closed to shade if it is too warm.

Humidity Option
(requires humidity sensor)

The screen may be automatically gapped back to help reduce humidity at night. The blackout programme automatically checks to ensure that it is dark outside before humidity gapping, so that the blackout regime is not disturbed.

Options For External Screens

Wind: (requires wind switch or wind speed sensor) if the screen is installed outside, this option opens the screen during high winds to prevent damage.
Rain: (requires rain sensor) Closes the screen when rain is falling.
