Weather Station

A Weather Station can be fitted to all TomTech computer systems. Installation of a weather station enables more advanced control of the environment within the greenhouse.

The basic configuration normally consists of: Wind Direction and Speed, Rain, Light.

Extra options for Temperature and Humidity are available.

There are two types of rain sensor available. The tipping spoon type or Electronic. Either type can be used but depending on the installation one will have advantages.

The RS1 Tipping spoon rain sensor can calculate the actual amount of rain that has fallen. This information can be used to automatically adjust irrigation quantities for outside crops.

The RS2 Electronic rain sensor has the advantage that it will react more quickly than the RS1 so is more appropriate for greenhouse installations where it is used to close ventilators when it is raining.
