Efficient greenhouse lighting from automated LED growing lights to high-pressure sodium lamps

We supply and install complete supplementary lighting systems for horticulture. The LED growing lights are the most often used nowadays, but we can also offer traditional high pressure sodium lights when required.

We can advise on number of light fittings required for specifing application, as well as the most suitable type of lights to be used. We offer full installation service, carried out by our team of experienced engineers. For all new installations, Tomtech can implement custom-built sequncing cabinets which will minimise surge currents, by switching the lights row by row.

The supplemmentary lights can be automatically controlled by Tomtech horticulture computer, which offers two light control programms:

The ‘Extended Day’ programme will switch on the lights to supplement the natural daylight. The programme allows the start and end times for the day to be defined and also the minimum light intensity required between these times. If the natural daylight is insufficient then the supplementary lighting will be switched on.

The ‘Retrospective Lighting’ programme provides the lighting at night in response to the previous days natural light. Start and end times for the lighting period are defined which will normally start in the evening and end the following morning allowing cheap rate electricity to be used. The number of hours and the minimum intensity of light required during each 24 hour period are defined and the computer will then switch on the supplementary lighting as required during the night period.

We also offer spares and consumables for high pressure sodium lights, like 400W and 600W bulbs, ballasts and electronic components.
