Description

The most popular system in horticulture is the rack and pinion system, which features:

  • Huima gearmotor
  • Driving one-inch galvanised torque tube running the length of each section
  • Supported on zinc plated bearers attached to the greenhouse frame
  • Aluminium rack and pinions are installed for each opener
  • Racks length is variable and can be either straight or curved

We can design, supply and install complete automatic ventilation systems that include all required hardware as well as electrical and control connections.

Our controllers have programmes for all types of ventilation and cooling systems including:

  • Windward/leeward vents
  • Single-sided vents
  • Speed controlled fans
  • On/off fans
  • Cooling pads

The system maintains desired air temperature and humidity levels in the greenhouse, using a proven control algorithm.

Limits can be set to determine the maximum amount the vents may open under different wind and rain conditions to automatically protect the crop and greenhouse from high winds and rain.
